In 1979, the producers of potatoes in an effort to bring under a same roof all activities pertaining to the packing and commercialization of potatoes have given birth to " A la Patate St-Ambroise ".

Two decades have passed and Propur has taken over the " A la Patate St-Ambroise " business. Despite a slow start, we now enjoy a great success. Today, our enterprise yields annually 65 million pounds of potatoes and 1,500 tons of cereal. Our sales figure is constantly increasing and we currently estimate it at $ 10 million.

Our shareholders own 4,000 acres, of which 2,000 are devoted to producing potatoes and 2,000 to rotating crops. Propur also generates over thirty jobs held by very performing workers who do not cease to contribute to the development of the enterprise.

Propur holds an excellent position among the competitors in the province of Québec. The importance of the production of sown potatoes detained by Propur is very commandable. Furthermore, on a provincial scale, Propur comes second as far as the considerable production of potatoes.

Our shareholders are as follows: Production Rivard inc., A. Dallaire et Fils inc., La Ferme Gaston Bouchard, La Ferme Pierre Vachon et Fils. and Production Des Chutes inc. Propur can also rely on two affiliated farms : Les Semences Saguenoises inc. and La Patate P.M.R. inc.
